Business Intelligence Developer – United States Remote

Develop dashboards, reporting, predictive analytics, and AI/ML capabilities for GDIT’s cloud-based federal court modernization program. Help deliver governed, compliant analytics that support operational decision-making.

Description

  • Develop configurable dashboards, self-service reporting, and predictive analytics within the CMM application
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations that communicate business insights
  • Coordinate data replication and feeds for downstream stakeholders and external systems
  • Monitor performance to ensure at least 95% of analytical queries meet monthly SLA response times and dashboards load within five seconds
  • Increase adoption of dashboards and reporting tools
  • Partner with product owners, data engineers, and UX designers to integrate analytics into the CMM user experience
  • Convert business requirements and KPIs into technical designs and actionable insights
  • Build and improve dashboards and reports using approved BI tools
  • Implement and validate SQL logic, calculations, and metric definitions
  • Work with Data Engineering to resolve upstream data issues and curate reporting data
  • Apply visualization standards and maintain documentation
  • Ensure reporting artifacts meet privacy, access-control, and data-handling requirements
  • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, standards, and practices
  • Enhance BI platforms through performance tuning, automation, metadata management, predictive analytics, and self-service BI
  • Support architecture documentation, governance artifacts, data lineage, and metadata catalog processes
  • Support and use AI/ML solutions in accordance with government standards
  • Maintain the master AI/ML Capability Register, including capability status, submission dates, and authorization history
  • Apply responsible AI/ML practices focused on transparency, risk mitigation, fairness, and compliance
  • Support the modern cloud-based CMM solution serving the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts and more than 204 federal courts

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field plus 5+ years of general information-systems experience and 5+ years of specialized experience, or bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years of general information-systems experience and 5+ years of specialized experience
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Expertise with Python, SQL, and data transformations for large-scale analytical data systems
  • Hands-on experience with BI platforms such as Qlik, AWS QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Advanced SQL capabilities and experience with analytical data models and semantic layers
  • Experience delivering reports in regulated or highly sensitive data environments
  • Experience supporting testing, writing acceptance criteria, and validating test-case results
  • Experience documenting current requirements, estimating user stories, and clearing blockers before sprints begin
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with senior customer stakeholders and develop customer relationships
  • Experience evaluating and applying industry tools, solutions, methods, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to pass a background check for a Public Trust position
  • Must be a U.S. Person: Green Card Holder, U.S. Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee, or U.S. Citizen
  • Preferred certifications include Data Visualization and Data Story Telling, Qlik Sense Business Analyst, Qlik Sense Data Architect, Qlik Cloud Analytics Certified Business Analyst, Story Telling with Data, CDMP, Snowflake SnowPro Core, Databricks Certified Data Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, and AWS Certified Data Engineer
