Strategy and Planning Manager, Enterprise AI Governance

Lead Cisco’s enterprise AI governance strategy, policy development, and platform adoption in partnership with Security, Legal, IT, and business teams. Drive scalable operating models and cross-functional programs for responsible AI use.

Description

  • Shape and implement AI governance policies and technical standards with Security and Legal
  • Improve the end-to-end evaluation and onboarding process for third-party AI tools
  • Coordinate enterprise AI governance priorities across business and technology stakeholders
  • Work with Platform and Enablement teams to expand adoption of enterprise AI platforms
  • Connect platform capabilities to measurable business outcomes
  • Advance the technical capabilities needed to automate AI governance at scale with Platform, Security, and IT
  • Track emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and relevant industry practices
  • Develop Cisco’s enterprise AI programs, governance strategy, and operating model

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, product management, technical program management, management consulting, or a related discipline
  • Strong technical expertise with the credibility to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to turn complex technical concepts into clear business strategies and outcomes
  • Experience creating operating models, governance frameworks, or enterprise processes for AI or other emerging technologies
  • Record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in a large enterprise from solution design through implementation
  • Experience preparing executive narratives, recommendations, and presentations that support decisions and strategic progress
  • MBA, advanced degree, or an equivalent combination of technical experience and practical business expertise preferred
  • Experience in a centralized AI Center of Excellence, Enterprise Transformation Office, or Chief Strategy or AI organization preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI governance standards, ethical AI frameworks, and regulatory requirements, including ISO/IEC 42001, the EU AI Act, and AIUC-1 preferred
