Senior Azure Engineer
Support and monitor customer Azure environments at LightEdge, a hybrid-cloud IT services provider. The role includes incident response, tailored solution delivery, and mentoring junior engineers.

- Support and monitor customer Azure environments with enterprise tools.
- Set up and validate monitoring for deployments.
- Assess customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and recommend capacity and performance improvements.
- Join the on-call rotation and answer calls from the LightEdge Command Center.
- Handle customer support calls about Azure environments.
- Track incidents in the ticketing system and troubleshoot them through resolution.
- Identify, resolve, and help prevent issues, escalating when needed.
- Work with Security, Networking, Data Protection, and Operating Systems teams.
- Record customer interactions in the ticketing system.
- Prioritize assigned work and complete it within approved maintenance windows.
- Contact Azure Support on behalf of LightEdge customers.
- Communicate with customers clearly, accurately, and professionally.
- Keep up with Azure services and advise leadership on relevant offerings.
- Provide senior technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
- Plan, document, and deliver tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
- Work outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays, for changes, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
आवश्यकताएँ
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, an associate degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Four to six years of experience in Azure development and systems administration.
- At least one current Azure certification.
- Azure issue resolution experience in a cloud service provider environment is strongly preferred.
- Kubernetes experience or certification is strongly preferred.
- Broad knowledge of Azure products and services, best practices, troubleshooting, systems administration, and issue resolution.
- Strong grasp of networking principles, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with hardware or software load balancers, VPNs, and firewalls is preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub, KQL, and Terraform, or willingness to learn them.
- Ability to manage several priorities and projects at once.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate, take initiative, and lead when needed.
- Initiative and problem-solving ability.
