Business Development Manager, Senior Living (Western US)

- Win new business in the independent senior living market across the West Territory, from qualification and presentation through close.
- Acquire members and promote Navigator’s food service and healthcare technology solutions.
- Manage pipeline, forecasts, and territory activity in Salesforce CRM.
- Prioritize opportunities with AI-powered lead scoring, forecasting, workflow automation, and prospecting tools.
- Build relationships with senior living operators, executive and senior management decision-makers, food service partners, and healthcare technology partners.
- Negotiate multi-party, multi-year GPO agreements while creating value and protecting margins.
- Hold in-person and virtual meetings across the West Territory, with 50% travel.
- Manage the territory’s travel and expense budget using route and schedule optimization tools.
- Create and execute sales plans to convert competing GPO business to Navigator.
- Assess P&L impact, margin drivers, contract economics, and member ROI.
- Coordinate with regional support and sales teams, field implementation, finance, operations, legal, analytics, and marketing.
- Promote Navigator’s contracting programs and senior living channel services.
- Create and maintain automated workflows, CRM triggers, sequences, and dashboards.
- Build executive relationships across senior living leadership teams.
- Participate in industry organizations and regional and national senior living conferences.
- Track Western US competitors and market conditions using AI-powered market intelligence tools.

- Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- At least five years of outside sales experience serving assisted care or senior living operators.
- Track record of meeting business development quotas and closing new business in a defined territory.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting through negotiation and close.
- Strong understanding of food service contracts in long-term care.
- GPO experience or experience managing GPO or IDN relationships is desirable.
- Food service or senior health market experience is preferred.
- Sales experience closing with C-level or senior management at senior living facilities is preferred.
- Ability to generate business through lead research, calls, emails, industry networking, and direct outreach.
- Experience using automation tools to generate leads and capture prospective opportunities.
- Proficiency with AI-powered sales tools, including generative AI for outreach and content, AI-enabled CRM features, and sales intelligence platforms.
- Comfort creating or customizing automated workflows and sequences with limited IT support.
- Strong CRM, forecasting, and sales analytics skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
