Field Service Technician, Injection Molding (Maryland)

Install, troubleshoot, and repair ENGEL injection molding machines and robots at customer sites. Train customers and coordinate equipment issue resolution across service teams.

Tavsif

  • Provide field service at customer sites
  • Install and maintain injection molding equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and robots
  • Test and inspect mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and software components
  • Calibrate equipment to improve performance
  • Install software and hardware
  • Check equipment safety
  • Explain equipment and proper operation to customers
  • Resolve customer issues, including ordering and installing replacement parts
  • Diagnose control system faults and plan machine repairs
  • Train service technicians and customer operators in system maintenance and safe operation
  • Coordinate with Central Service, Manufacturing, and the Parts Center to resolve field problems
  • Send regular written reports to the Service Manager

Talablar

  • High school diploma required
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • At least five years of injection molding troubleshooting or processing experience, or prior work as a field service injection molding technician or service engineer
  • Read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Experience working with injection molding machines
  • Broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and computer systems
  • Ability to provide basic training to customers and employees
  • Knowledge of injection molding processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot systematically
  • Knowledge of microprocessor programming
  • Knowledge of PET, polypropylene, polyethylene, styrene, and other common materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle difficult or dissatisfied customers with tact and diplomacy
  • Positive, team-oriented approach
  • Familiarity with ENGEL machines and robots preferred
  • Ability to use internal resources effectively to resolve customer issues
  • Ability to work independently with limited back-office support
  • Valid passport required
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing that includes REAL ID required
