Manage complex California workers’ compensation claims for Sedgwick, a global claims services company. Investigate exposures, negotiate settlements, and keep clients and claimants informed.
Descriere
- Develop action plans to analyze and process workers’ compensation claims toward timely, appropriate resolutions.
- Investigate claims and collect information to assess exposure.
- Negotiate settlements within your authorized limits.
- Keep claimants and clients updated on claim activity and processing.
- Notify excess carriers of claims and respond to requests for direction.
- Determine benefits due and adjudicate claims in line with service expectations, industry practices, and client requirements.
- Build strong client relationships through a well-managed intake process.
Cerințe
- At least 3 years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Relevant professional certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of knowledge of California workers’ compensation jurisdictional requirements.
- SIP certification required, or must be earned within the first year of employment.
- Ability to think clearly and conceptually.
- Strong judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage work-related stress and multiple priorities at once.
