Senior Engineering Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

Descriere

  • Lead and mentor Forward Deployed Engineers.
  • Build a high-performing engineering culture.
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple customer deployments.
  • Guide engineers through ambiguity and technical complexity.
  • Contribute to hiring and team growth.
  • Promote accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with enterprise customers to understand workflows, identify automation opportunities, translate needs into technical solutions, design AI-powered workflows, manage deployments from design through production, and support adoption and measurable results.
  • Work with CTOs, engineering and product leaders, operations teams, customer support organizations, and business stakeholders.
  • Design and review solutions across Voice AI, agent orchestration, workflow automation, enterprise integrations, knowledge retrieval, CRM, telephony, and customer support systems.
  • Review production code, assess architecture, troubleshoot incidents, build prototypes, address complex technical challenges, weigh engineering tradeoffs, and identify reliability and scalability risks.
  • Align customer commitments with engineering capacity.
  • Set priorities across deployments, flag delivery risks, manage scope and stakeholder expectations, and maintain predictable execution and delivery quality.
  • Lead production incident reviews, strengthen observability and debugging, improve reliability, establish operational processes, and build feedback loops that raise delivery quality.
  • Develop customer and engineering relationships, learn the Blue Machines platform and deployment patterns, lead customer rollouts, scale Forward Deployed Engineering processes, mentor engineers, and help shape AI Employee deployment practices across industries.

Cerințe

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.
  • Strong practical engineering background.
  • Experience designing and operating production systems.
  • Strong system design and architecture skills.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience leading engineers through complex technical projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in at least one of these areas: AI agents, LLM applications, Voice AI, conversational AI, contact center technologies, workflow automation, enterprise SaaS platforms, customer-facing engineering, solutions engineering, or distributed systems; distributed systems experience is strongly preferred.
