Freelance Lifecycle Communications Copy Specialist

Shape behaviour-triggered communications for Canvas8’s premium insights platform, from onboarding through renewal and win-back. Develop lifecycle messaging frameworks and write clear, targeted copy across email and in-product channels.

Descriere

  • Audit member communications and establish messaging frameworks for each lifecycle stage.
  • Set channel, cadence and frequency guidelines for behaviour-triggered and broadcast messages.
  • Choose relevant interventions for each audience segment.
  • Extend the existing Engagement Lifecycle Framework and lifecycle map.
  • Create lifecycle sequences for onboarding, activation, feature discovery, product-qualified leads, renewal and win-back.
  • Write subject lines, body copy, calls to action and in-product messages for each segment and trigger.
  • Script and produce short walkthrough videos for onboarding and feature discovery.
  • Create reusable email templates and formats.
  • Develop an AI-assisted process to generate and quality-check copy variants at scale.
  • Draft A/B test variants, review outcomes with the team and refine the copy.
  • Document voice, templates and workflows to support continuity after the engagement.
  • Coordinate with the lifecycle and PostHog specialist responsible for segments, triggers and journeys.
  • Work with Member Engagement and editorial teams to apply the brand voice and use the content library.
  • Align priorities with the Head of Product Innovation, Strategy Director and Client Partnership team.
  • Communicate ideas clearly and offer constructive expert feedback.

Cerințe

  • Bring at least five years of experience in lifecycle, CRM or member communications, with strong copywriting skills.
  • Provide portfolio examples of behaviour-triggered sequences, such as onboarding, activation, renewal or win-back communications.
  • Have experience with subscription, membership, publishing or B2B SaaS products.
  • Understand what encourages members to stay engaged and renew.
  • Be able to create a messaging framework and voice, then apply them consistently across segments and variants.
  • Use AI tools confidently to generate and refine copy at scale.
  • Apply sound judgement when evaluating AI-generated copy.
  • Work effectively with technical and data specialists and understand how segments and events inform messaging.
  • Experience with PostHog or a similar tool is a plus.
  • Have experience designing email templates and formats.
  • Use data to shape test variants and interpret results.
  • Maintain clear documentation and handover materials.
  • Work independently in a small, fast-paced team.
  • Experience scripting or recording short product videos with Loom or a similar tool is a plus.
  • Provide a portfolio featuring lifecycle sequences, copy, your individual contribution, case studies and measurable results.
  • Be available to start in October or November 2026.

Beneficii
