Third-Line Windows Infrastructure Analyst – Computacenter, Derby Onsite

Provide advanced Windows Server and infrastructure support for Computacenter’s secure enterprise customer environment in Derby. The role combines technical troubleshooting, platform deployment, on-call support, and project delivery.

Description

  • Deliver specialised third-line support for Windows Server platforms in a managed services setting
  • Support a highly secure, enterprise-scale customer environment in Derby
  • Develop solutions and practical workarounds for incidents and problems
  • Meet agreed service levels and delivery deadlines
  • Assess service performance and application delivery
  • Organise competing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Build productive relationships with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Stay informed about relevant technology developments
  • Work with customers to clarify their technical requirements
  • Design, develop, and deploy Windows-based technologies
  • Provide remote on-call assistance outside standard working hours
  • Support continuous technical improvement and project delivery
  • Maintain critical Wintel server, networking, and infrastructure services

Requirements

  • Hold current DV clearance, or hold SC clearance and be eligible to obtain DV clearance
  • Professional experience providing specialised third-line Windows Server support in a managed services environment
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability
  • Ability to make important technical decisions independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective prioritisation and task management abilities
  • Active Directory expertise covering GPO, forests, domains, domain controller roles, DNS, permissions, delegation, trust relationships, LDAP, and Kerberos
  • Hands-on experience with VMware or VxRail
  • Practical experience with DHCP
  • Experience supporting Exchange 2019 or Exchange SE
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025, including Server Core
  • Experience with Skype for Business 2019 or Skype for Business SE
  • Understanding of core Windows infrastructure, including DHCP and Windows failover clustering
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying Windows-based technologies
  • Experience with PKI and certificate management
  • Experience using Quest Active Roles, Change Auditor, and Recovery Manager
  • Experience with McAfee ePO, ENS, VSE, HIPS, and DLP antivirus technologies
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell, VB, or a comparable language
  • Desirable: familiarity with Citrix, virtualisation, messaging platforms, Ivanti Device Control, SecureEnvoy 2FA, Nexthink, and Trelix ePO
