Sales Manager, Northern Europe – Harmattan AI (Remote)

Lead Harmattan AI’s Northern European defence-systems sales territory, from government requirement shaping through contract capture. Build senior stakeholder relationships, direct pursuits, and deliver annual order intake.

Description

  • Develop the territory plan across customers, programmes, budget lines, competitors, priority pursuits, and contracting paths.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with defence ministries, procurement bodies, service headquarters, and end-user commands.
  • Influence requirements, acquisition approaches, and budget allocation before formal competitions begin.
  • Select opportunities to pursue and clearly justify those decisions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and evidence-based probabilities for each opportunity.
  • Coordinate demonstrations, trials, exercises, and industry events with Marketing and the capture manager to drive territory activity.
  • Own and achieve the annual order intake target.
  • Lead, develop, and expand the territory team.

Requirements

  • Bring 5–10 years of experience selling complex defence systems to state customers, primarily in Northern Europe.
  • Have an active, senior-level network across the territory.
  • Have owned at least one complete path to contract, from shaping requirements and acquisition routes through signature.
  • Show a proven record of influencing requirements or acquisition strategies before a formal competition was established.
  • Have experience leading capture efforts with local industrial partners.
  • Understand national procurement rules, documentation requirements, and local-content constraints.
  • Demonstrate a record of carrying and achieving an order-intake target in a fast-moving or resource-constrained setting.
  • Bring line-management experience or clear readiness to take it on.
  • Have native or fully professional proficiency in at least one core language used in the territory.
  • Be eligible for national security clearance in the territory and willing to complete the process.
  • Be willing to travel extensively throughout the territory.
