Payroll Specialist (Remote, Philippines)

Manage and validate multi-country payroll processes for Remote People, including reconciliations, data checks, and issue resolution. Support accurate, compliant global payroll and benefits operations through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Description

  • Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing and validation across multiple countries
  • Gather, review, and verify payroll inputs and completed payroll outputs
  • Reconcile payroll results against expected figures and flag discrepancies
  • Investigate payroll variances and resolve them with internal teams or payroll providers
  • Process payroll updates such as hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, deductions, and leave
  • Check payroll calculations and supporting records for completeness and accuracy
  • Work with internal payroll colleagues and external partners to answer and resolve payroll queries
  • Keep payroll records, documentation, and tracking files accurate and up to date
  • Use payroll platforms and automated validation tools to strengthen accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Build knowledge of additional countries as the global payroll function expands

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hands-on payroll experience, preferably in an internal payroll function
  • Experience independently overseeing payroll for at least one country
  • Solid knowledge of payroll inputs, calculations, checks, reconciliations, and final outputs
  • Ability to analyze discrepancies and determine the causes of payroll changes
  • High attention to detail and confidence working with payroll figures and data
  • Proficiency with payroll systems, Excel or Google Sheets, and automated tools
  • Strong English communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and payroll partners
  • Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to changing payroll procedures
