Patient Services Associate II - Jefferson Health, Warminster (Onsite)
Part-time role supporting Jefferson Health patients with check-in, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling in EPIC. Helps maintain courteous, efficient clinic operations across Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
Description
- Improve the patient experience by managing arrival and departure activities for practice and department visits
- Secure required procedure pre-certifications and pre-authorizations
- Verify insurance coverage, referrals, and patient demographic details
- Handle EPIC check-in, check-out, and point-of-service processes
- Schedule patient appointments in EPIC
- Support efficient patient movement to examination rooms
- Escalate patient or provider concerns when appropriate
- Welcome and assist patients and visitors professionally in person and by phone
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, visitors, and staff in line with Jefferson’s values
- Complete other assigned duties as requested
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to use EPIC for check-in, check-out, point-of-service transactions, and appointment scheduling
- Experience verifying insurance and securing procedure pre-certifications or pre-authorizations preferred
- Must follow HIPAA privacy and security requirements
- Must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
