On-Site IT Support Specialist in Salina, Kansas

Provide on-site helpdesk and technical support for computers, networks, endpoint systems, and telecommunications equipment at Great Plains Manufacturing’s agricultural equipment operations in Salina, Kansas.

Description

  • Deliver helpdesk and technical assistance by phone, remote access, and on-site visits
  • Install, configure, and support computers, printers, scanners, phones, and other endpoint devices
  • Set up and maintain network, wireless, video conferencing, and telecommunications equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and other information technology issues
  • Assess connectivity problems, equipment performance, software, and hardware
  • Install and configure software and related functions to documented specifications
  • Orient users and provide guidance on new software and computer equipment
  • Keep repair, resolution, and maintenance schedule records and logs
  • Track IT department activities and recommend quality improvements to the IT Operations Manager
  • Work with vendors and clients to integrate and update company technology
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Provide on-site support in Salina, Kansas, with occasional evening or weekend work for special projects

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information management, or a related field is preferred
  • At least two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience with Windows Server and virtual environments
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Must not require visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship or sponsorship after OPT
