Manager, Employee Communications and Engagement

Lead Amentum’s employee communications and engagement programs, including employee networks, CSR initiatives, enterprise storytelling, and participation campaigns. Coordinate events, support executive sponsors, and measure communication and program outcomes.

Description

  • Act as the main operational contact for employee network leaders and leadership teams
  • Support integrated communication plans for employee engagement programs and employee networks
  • Manage network policies, operating frameworks, toolkits, templates, membership records, reporting procedures, and administrative processes
  • Coordinate company-wide network programs, leadership forums, events, and member engagement activities
  • Advise on communications and provide editorial support through message development, content review, and channel selection
  • Prepare executive sponsors and advisors for leadership discussions, enterprise events, and network advisory work
  • Plan and deliver volunteerism, community impact, and charitable giving initiatives
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, policy, and executive-order developments that may affect network operations
  • Write, edit, and distribute employee communications through email, intranet, leadership messages, newsletters, toolkits, presentations, and event materials
  • Develop stories about employee accomplishments, network activities, recognition, community impact, and company culture
  • Manage content calendars and communication plans
  • Coordinate project plans, schedules, stakeholder contributions, materials, logistics, communications, and events for engagement programs
  • Support initiatives that advance employee awareness, participation, collaboration, career development, and employee voice
  • Measure participation, program activity, event results, and communication effectiveness
  • Maintain status reports, calendars, records, and dashboards
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and resource limitations, then escalate issues with recommendations
  • Handle additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience is typically expected in internal communications, employee engagement, community or network management, program management, human resources, organizational development, marketing, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Background creating employee-facing content and coordinating enterprise programs, campaigns, events, or stakeholder-led initiatives within a complex organization
  • Experience with employee networks, employee resource groups, community programs, CSR activities, or comparable employee programs is preferred
  • Experience working with digital communication, collaboration, intranet, event, and reporting platforms
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be able to work remotely from the U.S. and travel periodically, less than 10%, to the Chantilly, Virginia area for on-site work
  • Strong writing, editing, project management, facilitation, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to oversee multiple workstreams, events, schedules, and stakeholders
  • Ability to measure participation and communication results, organize data, recognize trends, and propose improvements
  • Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
