Senior Software Engineer, Developer Experience at Filevine

Description

  • Lead the end-to-end design and modernization of CI/CD across three language ecosystems.
  • Use engineering conversations and operational data to find and resolve the most expensive inefficiencies.
  • Create internal tools that improve engineers’ daily workflows and earn broad adoption.
  • Reduce flaky tests, long feedback cycles, and handoff bottlenecks between systems.
  • Establish delivery instrumentation, apply the resulting metrics to decisions, and communicate progress.
  • Make local development and new-hire onboarding more efficient.
  • Integrate AI-assisted development thoughtfully into engineering workflows.
  • Participate in on-call support for the systems you build and operate.
  • Manage the systems that move code from commit to production through GitLab CI and Octopus Deploy across .NET, Python, and Svelte.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on ownership of CI/CD, including designing and rebuilding pipelines rather than only using them.
  • Strong software engineering skills and the ability to produce code trusted by peers.
  • Experience creating release processes that support multiple language ecosystems, dependency caching, and test execution.
  • Working knowledge of DORA metrics, including how to instrument, interpret, and use them to prioritize improvements.
  • Practical experience with infrastructure as code and containerized systems.
  • A strong ownership mindset, including experience being on call for systems you built.
  • Ability to improve engineering practices through mentorship, effective tools, clear writing, and established trust.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
