Key Account Manager – Rail Aftermarket (Germany)

Grow rail aftermarket accounts in Germany and win new business for IMI’s engineered fluid and motion control products. Lead customer negotiations, technical-commercial proposals, and field-based sales activity.

Description

  • Drive sales across target rail markets.
  • Acquire customers and grow revenue, focusing on rail operators and managing contract and price negotiations.
  • Own aftermarket customer relationships throughout Germany.
  • Plan targeted customer visits and keep CRM records up to date.
  • Track market developments and conduct customer, market, and competitor analysis.
  • Respond to technical and commercial inquiries and prepare quotations.
  • Coordinate customer projects with relevant departments and internal interfaces.
  • Complete role-specific training and ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to local and global sales project management.
  • Work in the field approximately four days per week, including occasional overnight travel.

Requirements

  • Technical vocational training is required; a technical degree is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the rail-sector market is required.
  • Prior professional experience in sales is required.
  • Strong negotiation ability and communication tailored to different audiences.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, especially with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Applicants must live in Germany or be authorized to work there and will need to confirm their work authorization.
