Description

  • Manage the company’s most technically advanced property claims, covering investigation, evaluation, and negotiation for property, collapse, earth movement, and building or structure losses.
  • Serve as the team’s technical supervisor when the manager is unavailable.
  • Support regional claims audits.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced Claim Representatives.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by the Claim Manager or Director.
  • Deliver excellent service while developing agency and policyholder relationships that support successful claim resolutions.

Requirements

  • Hold a college degree or have equivalent experience.
  • Bring seven years of claims experience, including three years managing complex claim files.
  • Understand current claims laws, especially civil and tort law, along with current property insurance case law and related issues.
  • Apply working knowledge of mathematics and standard accounting practices used to calculate gross and net income or living expenses.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation ability.
  • Explain complex legal concepts and interpret policy contracts effectively in both written and spoken communication.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work while meeting critical deadlines under pressure.
  • Conduct site and property inspections, including roofs, basements, and attics; the role may require climbing ladders or stairs and kneeling, crawling, or bending.
  • Hold a valid California driver license and be able to operate a vehicle.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
