Applied AI Research Scientist - Paris Hybrid

Develop deep-learning and machine-learning models for AQEMIA’s drug discovery platform. Work with chemists and biologists to prioritize compounds and predict molecular properties.

Description

  • Create advanced deep-learning methods, including graph neural networks, generative models, and physics-based approaches
  • Conduct research and review relevant scientific literature
  • Partner with research and drug discovery teams to turn models into practical insights
  • Build reliable regression and ranking models from molecular and biological datasets
  • Work with chemists and biologists to prioritize promising compounds
  • Lead machine-learning workstreams from objective setting and scheduling through stakeholder communication
  • Provide models and predictions that support scientists’ daily workflows
  • Model molecular properties and protein–ligand interactions
  • Develop machine-learning systems for internal and partner drug discovery programs

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, machine learning, computational chemistry, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, independence, and willingness to collaborate
  • Around three to five years of experience applying machine learning in scientific or industrial environments
  • Proficiency with machine-learning frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn
  • Strong Python development skills
  • Experience using libraries for scientific computing
