AI Computer Vision Engineer — Canada Remote

Build production-grade computer vision and vision-language systems that improve healthcare supply-chain visibility, reduce waste, and support revenue capture.

Description

  • Partner with product managers to turn real-world challenges into practical computer vision and machine learning solutions with measurable impact.
  • Build computer vision and vision-language systems using classical methods alongside modern AI techniques.
  • Optimize, deploy, and maintain models across cloud and edge environments with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
  • Create evaluation frameworks for computer vision and vision-language models using metrics that reflect real-world performance.
  • Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and improve models through new data or updated architectures.
  • Track advances in computer vision research and apply relevant methods to strengthen vision-based products.

Requirements

  • At least three years of software development experience.
  • At least three years building computer vision systems in Python or C++, including real-time inference, deployment pipelines, and model optimization.
  • Strong grounding in classical computer vision and deep learning methods.
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Experience designing and operating evaluation frameworks for vision and multimodal models.
  • Experience deploying computer vision or machine learning systems in production.
  • Experience with MLOps practices for monitoring, logging, and maintaining deployed AI systems.
  • Industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or technology is an asset.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Spoken and written French is an asset.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship.
