Technical Consultant V at NCR Atleos (Remote, Rhode Island)

Support NCR Atleos financial software used with ATMs and cash recyclers. Install, test, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues across customer environments.

Description

  • Assess, install, unit-test, troubleshoot, and support software solutions aligned with business and operational requirements.
  • Develop periodic expertise in multi-vendor platforms, security, manageability, performance, consumer flows, transactions, maintenance operations, and message formats.
  • Anticipate internal and external customer needs while maintaining a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze, install, configure, and troubleshoot software.
  • Evaluate requirements functionally and determine implementation effort within customer environments.
  • Configure foundational software in customer environments.
  • Run unit tests, track defects, and implement changes according to test plans and functional requirements.
  • Diagnose, isolate, and correct system failures caused by software code defects.
  • Define acceptance criteria and quality objectives.
  • Provide estimates, goals, standards, constraints, and dependencies for statements of work and software development plans.
  • Perform quality assurance throughout end-to-end testing processes.
  • Lead the analysis and resolution of software issues identified during testing.
  • Prepare software for distribution to customers or networks.
  • Ensure software can be installed through distribution, bare-metal installation, and local update processes.
  • Support field teams during laboratory installations, certifications, and training.
  • Lead the analysis and resolution of software issues identified during customer acceptance testing.
  • Resolve production issues escalated by Level 3 Support.
  • Create hot fixes and run integration tests before delivery to QA.

Requirements

  • Experience in the ATM or kiosk self-service industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accreditation in computer science, information systems, or another technical discipline.
  • Experience leading technical projects and coordinating project resources.
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems, specifically Windows 10 and Windows 7.
  • Experience installing and supporting hardware devices and drivers.
  • Experience installing and configuring Windows applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, Internet Information Services, and remote access.
  • Understanding of client-server application architectures.
  • Experience creating and leading group presentations, hosting web seminars, and speaking publicly.
  • Availability for some shift work may be required.
