Second-Line Application Packaging Analyst – Nottingham Onsite

Support application packaging and software deployment for Computacenter customers from Nottingham. The role covers SCCM imports, test deployments, Active Directory groups, dependency analysis, and installation troubleshooting.

Description

  • Engage with designated business users and provide clear communication.
  • Maintain accurate updates for all assigned records in the workflow system.
  • Import packaged applications into SCCM for deployment preparation.
  • Create Active Directory groups for application deployment.
  • Run SCCM test deployments as part of operational acceptance testing.
  • Refer unresolved issues to the team lead or local management.
  • Assess potential application dependencies and refer complex cases to the technical authority.
  • Diagnose application error messages encountered during installation.
  • Import applications and complete associated test deployments.
  • Perform third-line troubleshooting, including installation debugging through log-file analysis.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to undertake SC clearance.
  • Experience working directly with customers.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365.
  • Foundational understanding of the application logistics lifecycle.
  • General experience supporting and configuring Windows environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MSI and/or App-V technologies.
  • Basic VBScript knowledge.
  • Familiarity with SCCM application imports, collections, and advertisements.
  • Knowledge of Group Policy and local permission configuration.
  • Ability to investigate application errors and diagnose faults.
  • Ability to conduct complex, layered investigations into application dependencies.
