Saks Cross-Category Ecommerce Manager (Texas Remote)

Lead ecommerce merchandising strategy, promotions, site discovery, and conversion optimization for Saks. Manage digital specialists and use performance insights to grow online sales for a luxury retailer.

Description

  • Develop and execute global site merchandising plans aligned with business objectives, category priorities, and marketing programs
  • Oversee global site turnover initiatives
  • Manage, mentor, and develop two digital specialists
  • Create operating workflows, assign responsibilities, and direct daily execution
  • Build promotional content and navigation strategies across desktop, mobile, and other devices
  • Coordinate with creative and marketing teams on site placements, product tagging, and navigation
  • Lead quarterly evaluations of promotional placements, creative assets, and the sale-site experience
  • Review live-site search, PLP results, and navigation to uncover customer friction and urgent issues
  • Work with product teams to prioritize fixes, advocate for improvements, and shape the site experience
  • Own optimization of the complete digital conversion funnel
  • Evaluate customer abandonment points and promote A/B tests and user experience improvements
  • Partner with ecommerce and technology teams to deliver website enhancements and new capabilities
  • Deploy and refine recommendation engines that support cross-selling and upselling
  • Apply Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Looker, and performance data to assess site health and promotional results
  • Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leaders
  • Share site merchandising results, insights, and recommendations with leadership and key stakeholders
  • Monitor ecommerce developments, merchandising practices, and competitor activity

Requirements

  • At least 5–7 years of experience in ecommerce, site merchandising, or digital business management
  • Demonstrated success creating and delivering site merchandising strategies that improved online sales and other key performance indicators
  • Strong analytical ability, including interpreting complex data, recognizing trends, and making evidence-based decisions
  • Thorough knowledge of ecommerce practices, user experience fundamentals, and online customer behavior
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and/or Google Sheets and Slides
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing methods and tools
  • Knowledge of SEO principles for product presentation and discoverability is preferred
  • Experience using website analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and reporting platforms
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud and their merchandising features
  • Experience with personalization and product recommendation engines
