Quantitative Analyst, Automated Trading – US Power Markets (Hybrid)

Build machine-learning trading strategies for Danske Commodities by converting US power-market data into automated decisions. This role combines quantitative research, predictive modeling, and production algorithmic trading.

Description

  • Build and deploy automated trading strategies with Python and modern machine-learning or deep-learning frameworks
  • Convert large, high-dimensional datasets into predictive models and actionable trading signals
  • Improve established models, technical infrastructure, and research workflows
  • Partner with US traders and analysts to turn market knowledge into scalable quantitative products
  • Stay current with advances in machine learning, deep learning, and quantitative finance
  • Move promising ideas from research into production
  • Develop and run algorithmic strategies for electricity markets

Requirements

  • Hold an MSc or PhD in data science, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrate advanced Python development capability
  • Have experience producing reliable, production-ready software
  • Bring substantial experience with machine-learning methods and tools such as PyTorch and Scikit-learn
  • Understand current advances in machine learning and deep learning
  • Translate leading research into usable real-world solutions
  • Have worked in a highly analytical setting
  • Energy-industry experience is not required
