Level 3 Microsoft Managed Services Engineer

Provide advanced remote support for clients’ Microsoft environments, covering identity, security, devices, infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 services. The role combines complex troubleshooting, systems administration, project delivery, and automation.

Description

  • Deliver escalated technical support for Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Exchange, Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex issues involving device enrollment, onboarding, provisioning, and application performance.
  • Handle systems administration activities such as configuration, patching, and software upgrades.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain backup and disaster recovery capabilities for Microsoft environments.
  • Coordinate with Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to resolve escalated technical issues promptly.
  • Support L4 Consulting with project activities when required.
  • Perform root cause analysis and apply corrective measures to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting workflows in the knowledge base.
  • Help adopt DevOps practices and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Contribute to planning and delivery of IT infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
  • Keep current with developing Microsoft technologies and industry best practices.
  • Configure Conditional Access and multifactor authentication in the Azure tenant.
  • Administer devices through Intune MDM/MAM, Autopilot, and Windows Hello for Business.
  • Work with Microsoft security tools, including Defender, Sentinel, and Purview.
  • Administer identity technologies such as Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management, least privilege, and access reviews.
  • Engage with clients to identify organizational challenges that may be addressed through additional products and services.
  • Demonstrate leadership and strong organizational skills across managed services teams, client engagements, and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional technology certifications such as MCSE.
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft technologies described for the role.
  • Experience working in an office environment and understanding related processes, procedures, and technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with internal and external customers.
  • Well-developed analytical abilities and careful attention to detail.
  • Self-directed approach with strong time-management skills.
  • Previous technical experience in IT consulting or a managed services environment.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CMMC, PCI, or HIPAA is advantageous.
  • Previous leadership experience with a managed services team, client engagement, or project is advantageous.
