Lead Product Manager, Trust & Safety - OLX Group (Remote in Spain)

Lead OLX Group’s AI-enabled Trust & Safety product strategy for a large-scale marketplace. Develop fraud prevention, risk detection, and user integrity products across European markets.

Description

  • Own and prioritise the Trust & Safety product strategy and roadmap using business risk and user insights.
  • Move the organisation from reactive incident handling toward proactive, intelligence-led fraud prevention.
  • Develop the Risk Engine, data-signal intelligence, anomaly detection, and investigation tools.
  • Deliver AI-native Trust & Safety experiences with Data Science and Engineering using machine learning, LLMs, and behavioural signals.
  • Balance fraud reduction with marketplace growth and make trade-offs based on evidence.
  • Set and monitor metrics covering fraud losses, false positives and negatives, resolution time, user trust, and financial exposure.
  • Work with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to deliver results.
  • Create instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation systems for fraud levels, model performance, and contributor and user impact.
  • Build business cases for fraud losses and prevention-investment ROI, secure resources, and lead prioritisation.
  • Ensure products and strategies satisfy applicable local and regional compliance, legal, and security requirements.
  • Use AI for threat analysis, synthetic user research, product specifications, and experimentation workflows.
  • Present Trust & Safety strategy, risk posture, and results to executives and other leadership audiences.

Requirements

  • Substantial digital product management experience in a consumer platform, marketplace, mobility, e-commerce, classifieds, fintech, or comparable large-scale environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership of Trust & Safety, fraud prevention, risk, identity and verification, marketplace integrity, account security, abuse prevention, payments risk, or compliance technology products.
  • Experience creating scalable systems that proactively detect, prevent, and reduce abuse, fraud, or risk beyond manual and operational processes.
  • Strong analytical and data-oriented approach, including defining success metrics, assessing impact, and prioritising from evidence.
  • Experience partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders on complex products in regulated or high-risk settings.
  • Experience managing vendors and external collaboration.
  • Experience building, deploying, or closely partnering on machine learning, AI, risk-scoring, decisioning, detection, recommendation, or automation systems.
  • Ability to balance user experience, marketplace growth, operational efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity, owning complex problem areas, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving strategy and delivery across teams.
  • Strong foundational product-management skills that transfer across fraud domains.
  • Experience developing and scaling core data and data-science products.
  • Experience delivering trust, risk, fraud, or safety products across international markets and regulatory environments is desirable.
  • Awareness of emerging regulations and industry trends affecting online platforms, digital marketplaces, payments, AI, and consumer trust is desirable.
