HR Business Partner, DACH

Description
- Advise leaders on organizational design, employee relations, performance and professional development.
- Spot emerging workforce issues and trends, then develop solutions with stakeholders.
- Support manager development and initiatives that help employees succeed.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers in Germany.
- Oversee HR administration, including employment contracts, employee relations and legal records.
- Coordinate with Talent Acquisition to deliver a smooth onboarding process.
- Manage offboarding and employee exit procedures.
- Maintain compliance with German employment law and company policies.
- Monitor changes to HR regulations and update policies accordingly.
- Maintain HR records and accurate employee data.
- Manage warnings, dismissals and settlement agreements in coordination with external legal counsel.
- Oversee leave and occupational health matters, including continued sick pay, BEM reintegration, preventive health checks and workplace risk assessments.
- Partner with Payroll to provide HR data and support accurate, timely payroll processing.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment processes.
- Manage relations with the German works council, including information, consultation and co-determination.
- Contribute to international HR programs and transformation projects, including the transition to an AI-native organization.
- Use survey findings and people data to advance employee engagement.
- Support HR system rollouts and improve processes.
- Report to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Requirements
- About five years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist.
- Experience in an international, fast-paced organization is preferred.
- Experience in a software or technology company is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of German employment law.
- Practical experience working with a works council.
- Able to build credibility with senior managers.
- Able to work independently as the primary HR contact for Germany.
- Experience with HR systems and process improvement.
- BambooHR knowledge is an advantage.
- Analytical, organized and focused on results.
- Able to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Comfort using AI tools at work or keen to learn.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English.
- Available to work on site at the Munich office three days per week.
