Hard Services Lead / Engineering Services Director – Charlotte, NC

Senior JLL facilities engineering leader responsible for hard services, maintenance, and small projects in a nuclear manufacturing setting. Oversees teams, compliance, budgets, systems, and client service delivery.

Description

  • Direct multiple Hard Services and small-project teams
  • Deliver strategic and hands-on services within a nuclear manufacturing environment
  • Direct the Hard Services team’s daily operations
  • Oversee maintenance and reliable operation of electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, HVAC, life-safety, and other building systems
  • Keep infrastructure records, compliance materials, drawings, single-line diagrams, and regulatory documentation current
  • Implement and report on JLL and client safety requirements
  • Inspect facilities and infrastructure to support preventive repairs
  • Direct maintenance activities and capital improvement work
  • Partner with the Reliability Engineer and System Owners to refine preventive maintenance schedules and CMMS performance
  • Find opportunities to reduce maintenance costs
  • Strengthen client relationships through due diligence and clear, concise communication
  • Develop and execute annual property budgets
  • Approve payables through the purchase-order process and oversee MRO stockroom activity
  • Lead negotiations for service contracts
  • Verify compliance with building codes, SOPs, and applicable guidelines
  • Track work-order performance and preventive maintenance activity
  • Close SLA deficiencies and lead process enhancements
  • Oversee skills evaluations and training for site engineers
  • Enforce escalation, life-safety, and emergency-response procedures
  • Create documented preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs
  • Manage Corrigo work orders, staffing, service offerings, and schedules
  • Review work orders and task completion each day
  • Work with the Account Director and Lead Team on staffing, training, and qualifications
  • Launch, plan, execute, and close small projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, maintenance, or a related field, or 10 years of experience as an engineering supervisor
  • At least five years of relevant experience in building repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Proven leadership with strong organizational, strategic, and interpersonal capabilities
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships with varied stakeholders
  • Comfort managing ambiguity and change while delegating effectively
  • Strong financial judgment and experience managing P&L results
  • Practical knowledge of skilled trades and building systems
  • Demonstrated leadership in workplace safety
  • Understanding of project delivery and capital planning processes
  • Ability to assess building systems, diagnose failures or malfunctions, and implement corrective measures
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive frequently during daily work
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Successful completion of background, drug and alcohol, and motor vehicle record screening
  • U.S. citizenship or appropriate authorization or visa to work in the United States
  • No disqualifying criminal event or record
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
