Founder's Associate (Remote, UK Hours)
Support the founder across B2B software and media companies serving private wealth and governance. Lead operating cadence, hiring, administration, and AI-enabled execution.
Description
- Run the founder's office across the group's B2B software and media companies
- Own the operating cadence, including daily check-ins, weekly reviews, Friday updates, and the decision log
- Turn unowned workstreams into concise recommendations and carry out the founder's decisions
- Filter decisions for the founder by presenting the decision, options, recommendation, and deadline on one page
- Drive follow-through with colleagues, advisers, legal counsel, the company secretary, and candidates
- Manage recruitment with the recruiter, covering scorecards, interviews, references, trials, and onboarding
- Oversee operating administration, including payroll, limited banking activity, tools, and the filing calendar, until processes are documented and transferred
- Collaborate with co-founders, investor teams, and advisers
- Lead the AI operating layer, including records, cadence documents, meeting preparation, and first drafts
- Protect the founder's time for work that only he can do
- Keep the operating cadence functioning when the founder is unavailable or fatigued
- Complete two senior hires through the process within the first six months
- Prevent filings, payments, commitments, and follow-ups from being missed
Requirements
- Outstanding written communication and the ability to turn a complex 40-minute conversation into a candid one-page recommendation
- A record of closing loops across people outside your reporting line, with three recent examples
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders
- Ability to act as the founder's proxy when following up with two experienced co-founders
- Strong numerical judgment and discretion when handling cap tables, salaries, co-founder terms, payroll, and limited banking activity
- Daily use of AI for research, drafting, analysis, and automation
- Ability to clarify the underlying request before asking questions and review returned work critically
- Humble, driven, and open to correction
- Ability to find binding constraints and focus effort on resolving them
- A sustainable approach to working pace
- Availability to work remotely during UK hours
- Willingness to spend one week in Jersey each month during the first quarter, then quarterly, plus attend one annual offsite
