Accounts Payable Associate IV - Remote

Part-time remote role with Conduent supporting General Motors purchase-order follow-up. Responsibilities include auditing invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and resolving outstanding purchasing items.

Description

  • Support General Motors' purchase-order follow-up team
  • Review open purchase orders and identify items requiring resolution
  • Work with plants, suppliers, requestors, and buyers to close outstanding purchase orders
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Follow up on open purchase orders to drive timely resolution
  • Verify accounts payable transactions for accuracy, completeness, and procedural compliance
  • Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders about invoice and purchase-order issues
  • Keep accurate purchase-order and accounts-payable records and documentation
  • Help reconcile and resolve differences among purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
  • Create reports and conduct audits to verify data accuracy and address outstanding items promptly
  • Track assigned work and follow up on aging or unresolved items
  • Protect confidential company, supplier, and financial information
  • Deliver accurate, professional, and customer-focused service

Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have experience in auditing, finance, purchasing, tax, or cost analysis
  • Use Microsoft Excel proficiently, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
  • Manage multiple claim reviews independently while meeting deadlines
  • Understand automotive manufacturing processes and labor, material, and profit cost factors
  • Have a bachelor's degree or at least five years of related professional experience
  • Successfully complete a background check
  • Have prior accounts payable, accounting, purchasing, procurement, or related experience preferred
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrate excellent time-management skills
  • Pass an internet speed test with download speed of at least 25 Mbps, upload speed of at least 5 Mbps, and ping of no more than 175 ms
  • Be able to connect to a modem or router with an Ethernet cable
  • Reside in a state where the compensation structure complies with applicable wage regulations
