Senior Product Designer, Checkout
Lead end-to-end design for checkout experiences across Expedia Group’s travel brands. Use research, analytics, and systems thinking to improve booking usability, traveler confidence, and business outcomes.
Tavsif
- Lead end-to-end design for a defined Checkout Platform experience area across Expedia Group brands.
- Guide design from discovery through delivery and iteration to achieve customer and business outcomes.
- Work with product, engineering, research, analytics, and design partners to define problems, priorities, and success measures.
- Turn qualitative and quantitative insights into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs.
- Help shape Checkout Platform experience strategy through systems thinking.
- Reduce booking friction and build traveler confidence through clear forms, pricing, payment choices, policies, and error recovery.
- Build scalable experiences for multiple brands and platforms as checkout architecture evolves.
- Partner with teams responsible for conversion, performance, availability, and technical quality.
- Run design workshops and critique sessions.
- Explain design decisions to stakeholders across disciplines.
- Offer constructive feedback and informal mentorship.
- Promote accessible and inclusive design.
- Explore AI-enabled systems, contextual signals, personalization, and intelligent checkout assistance.
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in product, UX, or interaction design.
- Experience launching digital products or services at scale.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end design for a product area.
- Strong collaboration with product, engineering, and research teams.
- A record of leading projects and influencing product direction at both feature and system levels.
- Ability to turn research, behavioral data, and experimentation findings into user-centered solutions across platforms.
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, color, hierarchy, motion, and composition.
- Ability to express ideas through high-fidelity designs, motion explorations, interactive prototypes, and clear design rationale.
- Able to work independently and iteratively in a fast-paced environment with high standards for craft.
- A portfolio showing visual craft, design thinking, expressive UI, and a distinct perspective on consumer experiences.
- Experience designing for web and mobile.
- Preferred: experience with complex products in large or matrixed organizations, or with checkout, payments, booking, identity, or other high-stakes transactions.
- Preferred: experience contributing to design systems and accessibility standards.
- Preferred: experience with behavioral analytics, experimentation, and qualitative research.
- Preferred: familiarity with platform-oriented product work, scalability, reuse, performance constraints, and cross-team collaboration.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI-enabled systems, tools, workflows, or AI/ML product approaches.
