Descriere

  • Lead SRE for an assigned product, platform, pillar, or business domain
  • Own the reliability, scalability, performance, and operability of business-critical production services
  • Develop engineering talent and define domain reliability priorities and strategy
  • Collaborate with Product, Software Engineering, Platform, Infrastructure, Security, and Risk teams
  • Define and track SLIs and SLOs tied to customer, product, and business outcomes
  • Assess and prioritize reliability risks using SLO results, error budgets, failure data, and production evidence
  • Promote reusable software, tooling, and automation that improve reliability, scalability, and operability
  • Write code, contribute to automation and engineering solutions, and work directly with engineers as needed
  • Set standards for metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and telemetry
  • Lead actionable alerting and observability for diagnosis, performance analysis, capacity planning, and ongoing improvement
  • Direct incident response, service restoration, and stakeholder communications
  • Strengthen incident response through automation, runbooks, training, exercises, and recurring-pattern analysis
  • Foster blameless post-incident reviews and organization-wide learning
  • Ensure critical services satisfy production-readiness, resilience, recovery, capacity, and scalability standards
  • Reduce repetitive, manual, and low-value operational work through engineering, automation, and simplification
  • Work with Security, Risk, Compliance, and engineering teams to satisfy control, resilience, and regulatory requirements
  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing SRE teams through clear accountability, career growth, and succession planning
  • Convert business and product priorities into reliability investments and a multi-quarter roadmap
  • Set priorities and make evidence-based tradeoffs across reliability, delivery, operational risk, capacity, and business needs
  • Develop managers and technical leaders
  • Use metrics and operating reviews to surface reliability risk, SLO performance, operational load, and improvement progress
  • Lead major incidents with accountability and ensure corrective actions are completed

Cerințe

  • Typically 12+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, production engineering, platform engineering, or a related field, including substantial technical leadership
  • At least 5 years of people leadership experience, successfully leading engineering teams and developing managers or senior technical leaders
  • Experience operating highly available, business-critical distributed systems and leading reliability improvements across a major product, platform, pillar, or business domain
  • Strong command of SRE practices, including SLOs and SLIs, error budgets, observability, incident management, automation, capacity, resilience, and production readiness
  • Hands-on technical ability to write code, contribute to automation and engineering solutions, and work directly with engineers when appropriate
  • Ability to clearly explain technical risk, tradeoffs, and investment needs to engineering, product, and senior business stakeholders
  • Track record of building inclusive, accountable, high-performing engineering teams
  • Must independently have authorization to work in the United States for any employer at the time of hire
  • This position does not offer employment visa sponsorship
  • Preferred experience in payments, financial services, or another highly regulated, high-availability environment
  • Preferred experience leading SRE or production engineering across multiple teams or a complex product or platform ecosystem
  • Preferred experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, modern observability, infrastructure automation, and software delivery at scale
  • Preferred experience establishing reliability metrics, governance, and operating reviews across teams within a defined domain
