Remote Billing Rejection Specialist (India)

Investigate and resolve rejected healthcare claims, correct billing data, and resubmit claims. Work remotely from India while coordinating with payers, coders, and billing management.

Apraksts

  • Review clearinghouse portals each day to identify, sort, and handle front-end claim rejections.
  • Contact insurers by phone or through their portals to investigate complex rejections, confirm patient eligibility, and verify benefit coverage.
  • Identify rejection causes such as demographic errors, missing insurance information, coding discrepancies, and provider credentialing mismatches.
  • Correct patient demographics, policy numbers, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and modifiers in practice management or EHR software before resubmitting claims.
  • Work with internal teams and medical coders to fix data capture errors and reduce repeat rejections.
  • Track rejected claims, recurring rejection patterns, and resolution times, and share updates with billing management.

Prasības

  • Bring 1–3 years of professional experience in medical billing, revenue cycle operations, or high-volume healthcare administration.
  • Have practical familiarity with major clearinghouses and EHR or practice management systems, including Waystar, Cortex, Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and NextGen.
  • Show exceptional attention to detail and strong alphanumeric data entry and verification skills.
  • Understand basic medical terminology, Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance, and CMS-1500 claim formats.
  • Communicate effectively with payers by phone and demonstrate strong telephone etiquette.
  • Be able to independently analyze and diagnose billing errors.
  • Be able and willing to work the 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST night shift reliably.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
