Technical Business Systems Analyst - Cleveland Hybrid

Independence Pet Group is seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst to convert business needs into technical specifications for pet health insurance systems. The role supports web applications, testing, validation, and business rules.

Description

  • Research business needs through interviews and analysis, then convert findings into specifications for technical projects.
  • Provide internal technical support while overseeing web-based services and customer support operations.
  • Validate requirements to confirm they address stakeholder needs.
  • Work with end users and business stakeholders to document and communicate business requirements.
  • Turn product vision into detailed specifications for the development team.
  • Present user requirements, functional and technical specifications, and process flow diagrams to developers.
  • Handle additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience as a business analyst or in business support.
  • Strong analytical ability with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work with business rules, system configurations, and operational processes.
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to learn proprietary systems.
  • Experience supporting web applications or business systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Insurance industry experience is preferred.
  • Exposure to claims or rating systems is preferred.
  • Experience with business rules engines such as InRule is preferred.
  • Background in customer service or operational support environments is preferred.
