Description

  • Set technical direction for agentic AI programs, shaping architecture patterns, autonomy boundaries, and system design.
  • Design, build, and operate production agentic AI systems supporting multiple products.
  • Own and advance agent frameworks, orchestration, planning, tool use, memory, RAG, LLM infrastructure, inference, model gateways, evaluation, observability, and safety tooling.
  • Lead technical reviews and make informed tradeoffs across autonomy, safety, reliability, scalability, and cost.
  • Collaborate across teams to move complex, cross-functional agentic AI initiatives from concept through production.
  • Assess emerging models, methods, and agentic patterns and convert them into enterprise-ready improvements.
  • Mentor senior engineers and strengthen engineering standards for agentic AI development.
  • Architect and oversee coordination across platforms to support scalability, resilience, and compliance with global standards.
  • Develop proofs of concept to test new technologies, databases, and application infrastructure.
  • Explore innovative technologies and open-source products for low-latency distributed systems.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation.
  • Provide technical consulting to global product teams and regional stakeholders supporting secure product rollouts.
  • Work with risk, compliance, and cybersecurity teams to satisfy regulatory and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers, Principal Engineers, and Principal Architects to apply new technologies and delivery practices to scalable software solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience working in modern, enterprise-scale engineering environments focused on agentic AI.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with REST, gRPC, and potentially tRPC.
  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP and Kubernetes.
  • Experience designing event-driven distributed architectures, including Kafka.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as LangGraph, LangChain, and Airflow.
  • Experience integrating commercial and open-source LLMs into agentic workflows.
  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or CrewAI, with sound judgment about when to use frameworks versus lighter primitives.
  • Experience with PyTorch and the Hugging Face ecosystem, including embeddings, fine-tuning, and inference tools; some TensorFlow exposure.
  • Strong practices for schema definition, validation, and state management using Pydantic and Zod.
  • A degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent qualifications with at least 8 years of professional experience.
  • Experience developing intelligent solutions with GenAI and modern technology stacks.
  • Experience building and delivering large-scale enterprise systems or products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence technology and business leaders across multiple functions and business lines.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support diverse internal and external talent.
