Senior Merchant Payment Executive, Colorado (Remote) | U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank seeks a senior merchant payments executive to lead Elavon sales across payment technology and financial solutions. The role oversees enterprise accounts, strategic partnerships, revenue performance, and sales team leadership.

Description

  • Lead a regional or industry-focused sales team responsible for assigned bank products and services
  • Drive direct and team-based sales to prospective and existing customers
  • Set revenue, volume, and market-share targets for the team and territory
  • Deliver product sales plans through defined budget objectives and marketing strategies
  • Build and expand profitable relationships with customers
  • Track market developments and competitor activity
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the assigned business area
  • Cultivate partnerships with relevant industry associations
  • Coach, motivate, and oversee staff on a day-to-day basis
  • Direct response planning for major RFPs and complex enterprise opportunities
  • Travel for customer visits, industry conferences, and executive engagements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience is generally expected
  • Documented sales success in merchant acquiring, payment technology, financial services, SaaS, or integrated technology solutions
  • Experience winning major enterprise accounts and building complex strategic partnerships
  • Consistent record of surpassing sales objectives and revenue quotas
  • Executive-level presence with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Availability and willingness to travel up to 60% for customer meetings, industry events, and executive engagements
  • Background in hospitality, sports and entertainment, gaming, restaurants, lodging, venues, or commercial real estate
  • Working knowledge of payment ecosystems, including acquiring, payment gateways, card-brand regulations, integrated payments, omnichannel commerce, embedded finance, and fraud and risk management
  • Established executive contacts across relevant target industries
  • Experience directing strategies for major RFP responses and complex enterprise pursuits
  • Strong spoken and written communication
  • Proven people-management and leadership capability
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage relationships
  • Effective customer service and client-relations skills
  • Substantial knowledge of banking products and services, banking operations, and current market trends
  • Sound independent decision-making ability
  • Ability to follow U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including its Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and applicable workplace conduct and safety requirements
