Lead enterprise merchant payments sales, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth for Elavon, U.S. Bank’s payments subsidiary. Manage sales teams and executive customer relationships across targeted markets.

Description

  • Lead a sales team selling assigned bank products and services across a designated region or industry segment.
  • Drive sales personally and through assigned sales staff with customers and prospects.
  • Set revenue, volume, and market-share objectives for the team and market.
  • Create and deliver sales targets, budget goals, and marketing strategies for assigned products and services.
  • Build and sustain profitable customer relationships.
  • Track market trends and competitor activity to strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the assigned area.
  • Cultivate relationships with relevant industry associations.
  • Train, motivate, and manage assigned employees day to day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Typically, at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success selling merchant acquiring, payment technology, financial services, SaaS, or integrated technology solutions.
  • Experience winning large enterprise accounts and developing complex strategic partnerships.
  • Consistent record of surpassing sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time for customer visits, industry events, and executive meetings.
  • Experience in hospitality, sports and entertainment, gaming, restaurants, lodging, venues, or commercial real estate.
  • Knowledge of payment ecosystems, including acquiring, payment gateways, card-brand regulations, integrated payments, omnichannel commerce, embedded finance, and fraud and risk management solutions.
  • Established executive network within relevant target industries.
  • Experience developing response strategies for major RFPs and complex enterprise opportunities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong people-management and leadership capabilities.
  • Proven new-business development and relationship-management skills.
  • Effective customer service and client-relations skills.
  • Substantial knowledge of banking products and services, banking operations, and current market trends.
  • Ability to make significant decisions independently.
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including its Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and applicable workplace conduct and safety policies.
