Key Account Manager, Treasury Expert – Lyon (Hybrid)
Manage and grow approximately 150 mid-market accounts for Agicap, a French treasury management platform. Apply cash management expertise to improve retention, expansion, and strategic advice for finance decision-makers.
Description
- Own a portfolio of approximately 150 mid-market accounts, including businesses generating more than €50 million in revenue, multi-entity groups, hypergrowth companies, and private equity-backed organizations
- Build trusted partnerships with finance decision-makers and identify key stakeholders
- Learn each client’s business context, treasury structure, processes, and priorities, then introduce relevant best practices
- Resolve friction and navigate complex customer situations
- Create and deliver account growth plans covering upselling, renewals, multi-year agreements, and referrals
- Uncover opportunities arising from new entities, use cases, organizational changes, or evolving business conditions
- Run discovery meetings and treasury-focused product demonstrations, develop business cases, and negotiate proposals
- Achieve monthly expansion and retention objectives
- Conduct Executive Business Reviews and assess customer return on investment
- Recognize early churn indicators and take action to retain at-risk accounts
- Monitor and review performance with the manager
- Set clear and realistic customer expectations about product development
- Identify activation and configuration requirements and relay them to the Onboarding team
- Bring customer insights to Customer Success and Product teams to improve processes and the product
Requirements
- Demonstrated treasury and cash management expertise from corporate treasury, consulting, banking, or treasury and finance software
- Ability to explain and critically assess cash forecasting, working capital, cash pooling, bank connectivity, and multi-entity consolidation
- Successful experience in a customer-facing position with commercial goals, such as account management, upselling, renewals, or business development
- Strong ability to lead effective discovery conversations
- Confidence working with demanding finance leaders and managing complex negotiations
- Resilience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where processes may still be evolving
- Collaborative team mindset and enthusiasm for sharing expertise
- Fluency in French and English
- Experience with a TMS or ERP such as Kyriba, SAP, Sage, or Cegid, SaaS knowledge, and disciplined HubSpot or Salesforce use are advantageous
