Hepatology Account Manager - Newark, NJ

GSK seeks an onsite Hepatology Account Manager to expand product adoption across New Jersey healthcare networks. The role manages complex accounts, clinical presentations, territory planning, and sales performance.

Description

  • Manage B2B relationships across large, complex healthcare delivery networks
  • Act as the primary customer liaison while engaging senior clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • Assess customer priorities and present tailored value propositions
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets across the assigned territory
  • Create and execute integrated business plans for key accounts
  • Share scientific and clinical information about disease states and approved products
  • Present clinical brand information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic teams
  • Develop partnerships with IDNs, academic institutions, and key decision-makers
  • Identify important influencers and meet expected customer engagement levels
  • Schedule activities to meet call metrics and improve customer coverage and frequency
  • Build knowledge of healthcare systems, physician hierarchies, pharmacy teams, and clinical nursing staff
  • Maintain product and competitor expertise while tracking local and regional market trends
  • Evaluate trends, set objectives, and develop product-launch business plans
  • Work with sales colleagues to exchange effective practices and strategies
  • Give marketing feedback and assess sales activity and territory results
  • Build territory plans with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support functions
  • Oversee the territory budget for sales and marketing activities
  • Handle administrative responsibilities and implement brand strategy within the assigned area
  • Complete required training and development programs
  • Follow corporate and industry policies, procedures, and compliance standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Account Manager 6 requires at least five years of biotech or pharmaceutical experience
  • Account Manager 7 requires at least three years of biotech or pharmaceutical experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including possible overnight stays
  • Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds
  • Product-launch sales success preferred
  • Hepatology experience preferred
  • Documented success meeting sales targets and goals
  • Strong account-selling and complex sales management expertise
  • In-depth understanding of Health Systems models, structures, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes
  • Experience engaging C/D-level stakeholders in large, complex healthcare networks
  • Experience providing lateral leadership within a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to interpret data and trends and turn them into actionable business plans
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions
  • Ability to follow regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements
  • Exceptional presentation and selling abilities with strong business acumen
  • Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Tagalog fluency preferred
