Executive Search Intern - Dallas Hybrid

Support executive search projects at Egon Zehnder through research, market mapping, and candidate identification. Gain experience in leadership advisory work, client materials, mentorship, training, and a practical capstone project.

Description

  • Contribute to active executive search engagements through company and industry research, market mapping, and candidate identification
  • Create and update target-company and candidate lists using firm resources and research platforms
  • Evaluate and synthesize findings to inform search strategy, team discussions, and project decisions
  • Develop draft research summaries, candidate profiles, presentations, trackers, and other internal or client-facing materials
  • Join internal search-team discussions and, where appropriate, observe consultant or client conversations
  • Support projects across industries and practice areas, with opportunities to align work with interests when business needs permit
  • Develop professional relationships with research mentors, consulting mentors, and colleagues throughout the firm
  • Complete organized onboarding and training covering executive search, firm systems, research methods, search delivery, and professional growth
  • Deliver a capstone project that responds to a real business need and creates a useful, reusable result

Requirements

  • Be a current college junior who will enter senior year after the internship
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Have authorization to work in the United States
  • Show intellectual curiosity about companies, industries, people, and leadership
  • Demonstrate strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Communicate clearly in writing and conversation
  • Apply careful attention to detail and sound judgment when handling confidential information
  • Manage competing priorities while collaborating with multiple teams
  • Demonstrate initiative and professionalism
  • Adapt comfortably to varied projects and changing assignments
  • Ask questions, seek feedback, and learn through hands-on experience and observation
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency is preferred
