Description

  • Partner with stakeholders to define data needs and convert them into actionable technical specifications
  • Build and deploy data pipelines and ETL workflows
  • Conduct comprehensive unit tests to verify functionality and performance
  • Establish data quality controls and validation procedures
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align project objectives, schedules, and deliverables
  • Track data pipelines and workflows to maintain performance, reliability, and efficiency
  • Apply improvements where needed
  • Document data processes, platform architecture, and operational workflows
  • Plan and deliver the setup and administration of a Databricks data platform across multiple regions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information technology, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL
  • Experience in data modeling and database design
  • At least five years of professional Data Engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of ETL and ELT principles
  • Experience integrating APIs and ingesting data from varied sources
  • Experience with functional and automated data testing
  • Knowledge of effective documentation practices and automation principles
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark
  • Experience working with AWS or Azure
  • Experience integrating AI in test environments
  • Ability to oversee QA Engineers and facilitate SCRUM calls
  • Familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake
