  • Explore emerging NLP, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI techniques.
  • Investigate complex technical questions, develop hypotheses, and compare approaches through experiments.
  • Assess models, frameworks, and methods, applying improvements to product capabilities and system performance.
  • Build traditional NLP, statistical machine learning, deep learning, and transformer-based solutions.
  • Create data pipelines, NLP preprocessing workflows, feature representations, embeddings, and training datasets.
  • Develop data quality strategies that support reliable models.
  • Build and assess LLM and generative AI solutions using prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, fine-tuning, agents, and structured generation.
  • Choose and optimize models against accuracy, latency, cost, and business needs.
  • Set the approach for building, grounding, and governing Conga’s generative AI capabilities.
  • Create experiments, benchmarks, evaluation datasets, and statistical methods.
  • Lead error analysis and performance measurement.
  • Establish evaluation standards for the wider team.
  • Advance AI solutions from research and prototyping to production deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Work with engineering teams to deploy models at scale.
  • Detect model drift, quality issues, and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and data science teams.
  • Guide and mentor colleagues in NLP, machine learning, experimentation, and generative AI.

Talablar

  • Master’s degree in computer science, data science, computational linguistics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, NLP, or AI, including substantial hands-on work building and deploying NLP or generative AI solutions.
  • Track record of taking machine learning, NLP, or generative AI solutions from experimentation through production deployment and continued optimization.
  • Ability to turn open-ended research into practical, measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills and experience contributing as a senior individual contributor across technical teams.
  • Expert Python skills and extensive experience with Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, NLTK, Sentence Transformers, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  • Expertise in traditional NLP methods.
  • Strong understanding of deep learning architectures and transformer-based language models.
  • Practical experience with LLMs and foundation models, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, reranking, fine-tuning, LoRA/QLoRA, structured generation, and LLM evaluation.
  • Strong command of experimental design, statistical testing, cross-validation, hyperparameter optimization, and error analysis.
  • Experience with NLP and generative AI evaluation metrics.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience handling structured and unstructured data at scale.
  • Experience with distributed data processing platforms such as Spark, Databricks, or BigQuery.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure, and modern machine learning infrastructure.
  • Experience with machine learning tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases, Docker, Kubernetes, or Ray.
  • Experience with vector databases and search technologies such as FAISS, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus.
  • Familiarity with LLM application frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or DSPy.
