Field Service Engineer, 3D Printing (Munich Hybrid)

Install, calibrate, demonstrate, and repair Formlabs 3D printing systems for customers across the DACH region and beyond. Provide on-site training, preventative maintenance, and technical support while managing frequent travel and service documentation.

Tavsif

  • Act as Formlabs’ primary technical contact and customer-facing representative across the DACH region and beyond
  • Travel to customer locations to unpack, install, commission, and calibrate new 3D printing systems
  • Deliver structured on-site instruction covering equipment operation, software, and basic maintenance
  • Lead live demonstrations of Formlabs products
  • Restore customer operations by handling downtime issues and urgent repairs on short notice
  • Coordinate annual preventative maintenance visits within the 90-day target for customers with active warranties
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical problems and resolve issues during the initial visit whenever possible
  • Complete a substantial volume of field service assignments
  • Organize travel independently and submit expense reports by their deadlines
  • Record installation, training, and repair activity accurately in Salesforce

Talablar

  • Preferably live in Munich or within a 45-minute drive to support hub connectivity
  • Be prepared to spend more than 80% of working time traveling
  • Bring a strong technical foundation in electromechanical or hardware systems
  • Have the communication and teaching skills needed to train customers on the technology
  • Speak German and English fluently at C1 level in both languages
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • French language skills are an advantage
  • Show enthusiasm for 3D printing and emerging technologies
  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup is an advantage
