Handle complex injury claims across auto, homeowners, uninsured and underinsured motorist, and small-business policies. Investigate coverage and liability, negotiate settlements, and guide members through claims decisions.

- Adjust complex bodily injury claims involving auto, homeowners, uninsured or underinsured motorists, and small businesses.
- Review coverage and make decisions on complex claims.
- Investigate losses and determine legal liability.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims accurately and promptly within assigned authority.
- Maintain clear claim records that support sound outcomes.
- Organize and manage an assigned claims caseload.
- Provide members and other involved parties with timely claim updates.
- Work with colleagues to resolve issues and flag cases for escalation.
- Coordinate with or direct vendors and internal partners to support timely resolutions.
- Advise teammates on complex claims.
- Provide attentive member service by setting clear expectations and communicating proactively.
- Handle a range of claims, including higher-complexity cases, and take on additional duties as needed.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and manage risks under applicable risk and compliance policies.
Cerințe
- High school diploma or equivalent credential.
- At least four years of experience adjusting auto injury claims.
- Advanced understanding of auto claims policies, investigations, evaluations, negotiations, and accurate claim decisions, including relevant case law and state laws and regulations.
- Advanced skills in negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Strong time management and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to investigate, prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and solve problems.
- Advanced knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology relevant to bodily injury claims.
- Ability to exercise sound financial judgment and discretion when handling insurance claims.
- Advanced knowledge of coverage evaluation, loss assessment, and loss reserving.
- Obtain and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days, with up to three attempts.
- Must not require immigration support now or in the future; USAA does not sponsor visas.
