  • Generate sales and protect gross profitability through phone and email selling, negotiation, and persuasive communication
  • Address customer email and telephone inquiries promptly
  • Keep master customer records accurate in the relevant systems
  • Qualify, prepare, and enter quotations, then follow up proactively to increase purchase-order conversion
  • Review and process customer purchase orders in accordance with SOX controls
  • Share accountability for revenue and gross margin across selected customer accounts
  • Manage open backlogs proactively and alert customers to potential delivery delays
  • Coordinate technical inquiries with account managers, field application engineers, and service teams
  • Help colleagues prepare answers to customer questions and quotation requests
  • Gather customer insight on pricing and competitors to inform supplier negotiations
  • Work with Purchasing and Procurement, Business Services, Warehouse, Credit and Collections, and Quality teams
  • Attend team meetings, internal training, and supplier training sessions and meetings
  • Resolve customer concerns and claims, recording them in the appropriate system
  • Review and maintain sales and operational reports
  • Occasionally visit assigned customers alongside field application engineers or account managers to strengthen relationships
  • Process customer sample requests and follow up to support demand generation
  • Take part in sales promotion activities

Reikalavimai

  • SAP SD experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use telephone-based sales techniques effectively
  • Ability to collaborate in an international team environment
  • Good written and spoken English for internal communication requirements
  • Strong customer-service orientation and focus
  • Effective problem-solving ability
  • Expert understanding of customer needs, products, and complex business services
  • Ability to identify qualified new customers for Avnet’s increasingly complex account portfolio
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites or training, including overnight stays when required
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, ERP, and order-management systems
  • Advanced Excel capability, including formulas, analysis, formatting, data manipulation, and problem solving
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of QuoteFX, SupplierWin, PowerPoint, and WebEx
