  • Own the payroll process and ensure accurate, compliant, on-time completion
  • Review payroll and timekeeping data, including hours, rates, compensation changes, bonuses, reimbursements, deductions, sick time, and PTO
  • Enter and verify staff hours in NPA and coordinate payroll-close communications
  • Review drive time, overtime, meal and rest break issues, and timekeeping discrepancies
  • Maintain employee payroll data in ADP and oversee new-hire payroll setup
  • Investigate and resolve employee payroll questions and discrepancies
  • Support payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance reviews
  • Calculate and coordinate final paychecks for resignations, terminations, and other separations
  • Coordinate separation letters, payroll updates, benefit notifications, and offboarding activities
  • Manage and oversee the daily workflow of HR Assistants
  • Assign, prioritize, and review HR and payroll administrative work
  • Train and support HR Assistants on HR and payroll procedures
  • Act as an escalation point for payroll, timekeeping, employee-record, and procedural questions
  • Support HR operations involving employee records, EDD forms, leave documentation, benefits enrollment, and employee communications
  • Maintain payroll and HR trackers, reports, calendars, data logs, procedures, checklists, and internal controls
  • Prepare payroll and HR reports for leadership and identify opportunities to improve processes

Талаптар

  • At least 3 years of payroll, HR/payroll, or closely related experience
  • Hands-on payroll processing experience is required
  • Experience supporting California employees and familiarity with California payroll and wage-and-hour requirements are strongly preferred
  • Experience calculating and coordinating final paychecks and employee separations
  • Working knowledge of overtime, timekeeping, payroll deductions, paid leave, reimbursements, and payroll recordkeeping
  • Experience with ADP or a comparable payroll system is required; ADP experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating or reviewing HR or payroll support staff is preferred
  • Strong analytical ability and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines independently and identify payroll issues before finalization
  • Sound judgment and the ability to determine when an issue needs management or legal review
  • Excellent customer service and professional communication skills
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel, including trackers, reports, and payroll data
  • High standards of confidentiality, accountability, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Experience with NPA and EASE is preferred
