Field Service Technician – Colorado (Remote)
Provide field-based technical support for Columbia PSI’s automated bagging and palletizing systems. Diagnose PLC, electrical, and mechanical issues during customer installations, commissioning, and service visits.

- Support customers through the installation, commissioning, and servicing of automated bagging and palletizing equipment
- Deliver customer assistance in person, by phone, and through email
- Handle service requests and diagnose equipment issues both remotely and at customer sites
- Train customers on equipment operation and safety functions
- Coordinate local electricians, assemblers, and welders during installation work
- Verify that equipment operates correctly and safely
- Test local inputs and outputs, devices, control interlocks, and alarms
- Carry out service trips safely, efficiently, and within the assigned schedule
- Give sales representatives technical guidance, upgrade options, and parts recommendations
- Prepare service documentation and expense reports
- Record project progress, field changes, safety concerns, processes, procedures, and service-manual feedback
- Use SugarCRM to track customer relationships, solutions, service-trip reports, tasks, and status updates
- Address internal and external customer-service needs and escalate unmet expectations
- Provide technical assistance outside regular working hours
- Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams
- Keep technical and professional knowledge current through industry networks, societies, workshops, and publications
- Support team objectives and complete other assigned responsibilities
Талаптар
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Three to five years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience using SugarCRM
- PLC troubleshooting skills, including program editing and network connections
- Working knowledge of RSLogix and CompactLogix
- ControlLogix PLC programming experience
- Experience with PanelView and PanelMate
- Motion-control knowledge
- Strong electrical knowledge and a systematic approach to troubleshooting
- Strong technical aptitude and careful attention to detail
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record that does not meet high-risk-driver criteria
- Ability to travel to airports and customer facilities using a personal, leased, or rented vehicle
- English proficiency; Spanish is an advantage
- Willingness to travel frequently, up to 75%
- Ability to satisfactorily perform all essential duties
- Completion of applicable SOP and SWI training and participation in the knowledge base
