Field Service Technician – Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Provide field service for GLORY’s high-speed cash-handling equipment in a hybrid Chicago-based role. Support customer care, installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, repairs, and on-call coverage across an assigned U.S. territory.

  • Manage customer service and client care throughout each service engagement
  • Drive customer satisfaction through responsive and professional support
  • Troubleshoot and repair GLORY high-speed cash-handling equipment independently
  • Diagnose system faults and complete the necessary repairs
  • Track and maintain assigned parts and tools
  • Keep customers informed throughout maintenance work and system downtime
  • Install machines and complete Engineering Change Notices, system upgrades, and hardware or software upgrades requiring technical support
  • Maintain current knowledge of GLORY equipment’s technical and functional changes
  • Follow all applicable safety guidelines and policies
  • Complete required Environmental Health and Safety training
  • Promptly report job-site accidents involving injury or property damage
  • Handle additional responsibilities assigned within the scope of the position

  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from electro-mechanical or electrical engineering studies, or possess equivalent work experience
  • Related certifications in mechanics, electronics, automation, or data processing are preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, network navigation, and email
  • Logical troubleshooting ability, including isolating faults at the PCB or component level
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of AC/DC power distribution and digital and analog circuitry
  • Experience repairing high-speed paper-handling equipment such as check, mail, or currency sorters; ATM or copier experience is preferred
  • Three to five years of technical field service repair experience is preferred, including experience in aviation, medical equipment, vending machine, or military repair
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and frequently kneel, bend, squat, sit, and twist
  • Willingness to work at customer locations including financial institutions, casinos, truck stops, recreational parks, and retail stores
  • Availability for rotating weekend and holiday work
  • Availability for an on-call rotation typically occurring every three to five weeks, including evenings and weekends; rare 24/7 availability may be required
  • Ability to drive to customer sites during working hours
  • Willingness to travel occasionally outside the assigned territory, including by air and overnight
  • Ability to work in locations with limited accessibility
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Residence within the assigned territory or willingness to relocate; relocation assistance is unavailable
