Senior Provider Relations Coordinator - Houston Hybrid

Support HCSC’s contracted healthcare providers through issue resolution, operational improvements, and provider education. Help verify compliance with contractual and financial standards in a hybrid Houston-based role.

Description

  • Support contracted providers with guidance and coordination under supervision
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with HCSC’s contracted provider network
  • Improve the provider experience and simplify day-to-day interactions with HCSC
  • Monitor concerns, coordinate follow-up, and drive issues through resolution
  • Deliver provider education and training
  • Analyze activity to identify recurring patterns and emerging trends
  • Review provider performance for adherence to contractual and financial obligations
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight trips
  • Follow a flex schedule with three days in the Texas office and two days working remotely

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two years of managed care operations experience involving independent work, or six years of relevant experience
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and planning abilities
  • Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays
  • Background in managed care, health plans, provider networks, or healthcare operations
  • Experience providing administrative and operational support where accuracy and detail are critical
  • Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management system
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Experience coordinating meetings, maintaining records, tracking projects, and following up on action items
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience reviewing, auditing, or validating data
  • Strong written and verbal communication with providers, business partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other business materials
  • Ability to protect confidential information and exercise discretion
  • Experience supporting provider relations, network operations, credentialing, contracting, or healthcare administration
  • Ability to investigate issues, develop solutions, and follow through with limited supervision
  • Experience in a fast-paced setting requiring careful follow-up and attention to detail
