Senior Project Manager, Retail Banking Construction (Remote)

Lead retail banking renovations, new construction, and infrastructure upgrades for JLL across U.S. markets. Manage project budgets, schedules, teams, stakeholders, and client outcomes.

Description

  • Lead end-to-end retail financial sector projects, including minor and major renovations, new construction, and facility infrastructure upgrades.
  • Manage branch renovations, bank build-outs, and infrastructure projects for financial facilities.
  • Oversee security systems, IT rooms, ATMs, vaults, HVAC, building monitoring, and fire protection systems.
  • Control project schedules, budgets, costs, risks, change orders, scope, quality, and safety.
  • Direct cross-functional teams of designers, architects of record, Operations staff, and Owner Vendors.
  • Manage stakeholders and strengthen client relationships.
  • Present project updates and information to C-level executives.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with project stakeholders.
  • Analyze project data and prepare reports.
  • Improve and optimize project processes.
  • Develop strategic plans and forecast project outcomes.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects across different geographic markets.
  • Travel 40–50% and complete extended site visits during critical project phases.
  • Meet targets for on-time delivery of 95% or higher, approved-budget adherence, client satisfaction scores of at least 4.5/5.0, zero-incident safety, and quality and deficiency management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of project management experience in commercial construction.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering financial services or retail banking projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects valued at $1M–$25M or more.
  • Experience with branch renovations, bank build-outs, and financial facility infrastructure, including security systems, IT rooms, ATMs, and vaults.
  • Experience with HVAC, building monitoring, fire protection, and monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of ADA, National Codes, and federal banking regulations.
  • Experience working with authorities having jurisdiction, including zoning authorities.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Expertise in budget management and cost control.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation practices.
  • Experience managing change orders and controlling scope.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and safety management protocols.
  • Understanding of banking operational workflows.
  • Knowledge of security requirements for cameras, alarms, and vault systems.
  • Familiarity with ADA compliance for financial facilities.
  • Experience with technology infrastructure such as ATMs, teller systems, and network requirements.
  • Proficiency with BIM/VDC platforms, including Autodesk Construction Cloud and Procore.
  • Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with document control and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of permit and regulatory approval processes.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly and incorporate it into daily work.
  • Strong leadership skills for managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and building client relationships.
  • Ability to present information to C-level executives in writing and verbally.
