Senior Product Designer - Remote in Missouri
Shape responsive web experiences for H&R Block’s tax and financial products. Collaborate with product, engineering, and research partners from initial concept through launch.
Description
- Create end-to-end experiences for responsive web products and workflows
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers across the development lifecycle
- Build and evaluate prototypes to test concepts and collect customer feedback
- Plan and participate in research, including interviews, usability studies, and concept validation
- Turn customer needs, business objectives, and research findings into effective product experiences
- Help advance the team’s design system and design methods
- Apply contemporary design and prototyping tools, including AI-assisted workflows when useful
- Explain design decisions and solutions to cross-functional stakeholders
- Refine experiences through experimentation, iteration, and product insights
- Design intuitive digital experiences for H&R Block’s tax and financial products from concept through delivery
- Contribute to product strategy and help shape design practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- At least five years of experience designing end-to-end digital products for responsive web applications
- A strong portfolio showing user-centered, interaction, and visual design alongside product thinking
- Experience working closely with product managers and engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions from concept to launch
- Experience developing, testing, and refining prototypes using customer feedback, experimentation, and product results
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments
- Commitment to accessibility and usability best practices
- Experience planning and conducting interviews, usability testing, and other user research methods
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities and improve customer experiences
- Experience producing high-fidelity prototypes and collaborating with engineers during implementation
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, emerging design technologies, and AI-powered or automation-driven experiences
- Experience contributing to or working within an enterprise design system, including components, patterns, and documentation
- Strong visual design capabilities
- Experience designing products in financial services, fintech, tax, or another regulated industry
- Ability to turn complex requirements into intuitive customer experiences
